Mary Gaerty is the Co-founder and Joint Managing Director of Green Skip Services.  With a deep commitment to both environmental responsibility and business innovation, Mary has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and success since its establishment in 1992.

As Joint Managing Director, Mary is deeply involved in the daily operations of the business, with a specific focus on driving sales and business development, ensuring that the company provides effective, cost-efficient and compliant waste management solutions.  Her strategic vision has been integral to the company’s development of innovative waste disposal and recycling systems, which have set new standards in the industry.

Mary is also highly active within the waste management and environmental sectors.  In 2023, she was honored with the Buonamico Award for her significant contributions to biodiversity and environmental protection.  The Buonamico Award is a prestigious, yearly award-giving ceremony held under the patronage of H.E.  The President of Malta, which recognises individuals whose actions and achievements have positively impacted biodiversity and the environment.  This recognition is a testament to Mary’s leadership and dedication to advancing sustainable practices in waste management.

Mary is a recognized professional in both the local and international waste management sectors.  Her expertise in Hazardous Waste has earned her membership in the prestigious Chartered Institute of Wastes Management (CIWM) UK and is also a certified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA), ensuring compliance with the highest standards in hazardous waste management.  This certification enhances Green Skip Services’ ability to provide safe and legally compliant waste management solutions across various industries.  Mary actively participates in environmental and business seminars and conferences, advocating for sustainable practices and regulatory compliance within the industry. Her leadership has been instrumental in positioning Green Skip Services as a trusted and forward-thinking partner in waste management.
